The small village of Tagish is located at Tagish Lake, approx. 1 driving hour southeast of Whitehorse, 1 hour from Atlin (British Columbia), and also approx. 1 hour from Skagway (Alaska). Whether you travel to Tagish Wilderness Lodge from BC, directly from Whitehorse or even from Alaska – it is ideally nestled between the main travel routes and within only 50 minutes driving time by boat or snowmobile/dogsled, you are transferred to the Lodge where you enjoy your stay completely secluded and inaccessible by roads.

By air

Canada's Yukon Territory can be accessed by international flights from most airports in Europe, US and Canada via Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.

WestJet 
Canadas favorite lowcost airline WestJet (www.westjet.com) operates daily flights between Vancouver and Whitehorse seasonally from May until October.

Air Canada (www.aircanada.com) connects to Whitehorse also from transatlantic flights. Several daily services available.

 

condor
Condor (www.condor.de) operates one weekly charter flights from Frankfurt (Germany) and from Zurich (Switzerland) via Frankfurt to Whitehorse. The schedules for 2012 are not published yet, you will find more information on this webpage as soon as they are available. Flight day will most probably be a Sunday. Please note the different immigration procedure for the transit in Anchorage and Fairbanks – all passengers have to get off the plane!

Once you are in Whitehorse we make arrangements to charter a float- or skiplane flight to/from Tagish Wilderness Lodge at the time of your booking or a shuttle to Tagish. The companies we work with have friendly and experienced pilots and assist you whenever you need help. By Car or RV

From the South: Driving on the Alaska Highway you turn left at Jake's Corner (Km 1392 / Mile 836.8) and follow West on the Tagish Loop (Carcross Highway) to Tagish (21 kms / 13.5 miles). Right after crossing the bridge turn right into the Tagish Bridge Recreation area where we will pick you up with our boat and drive you along Tagish River and Tagish Lake (27 kms / 17 miles) out to the lodge.

From the North: From Whitehorse, follow the Alaska Highway South and turn right to the South Klondike Highway (approx. 29 kms / 18 miles from town) to Carcross (55 kms / 34 miles) and to Tagish (52 kms / 32 miles). Right after you get off the bridge, turn left into the Tagish Marina area for parking, we will be waiting for you there.

Also, you can drive along the Alaska Highway all the way to Jake's Corner and continue as described under coming from the south.

Lodge Shuttle
Available from your Whitehorse hotel or from the airport to Tagish on request.

Boat Transfer from Tagish to the Lodge and back
With self-drive or shuttle service from Whitehorse to Tagish, we provide a daily, complementary boat transfer to the lodge. The boat carries a maximum of 5 passengers at a time and a limited amound of luggage. 

Please contact us latest 2 hours prior to your departure to Tagish by phone (867) 332-2113 to make sure we are able to meet you in Tagish (weather conditions may delay the pre-arranged transfer)! Your vehicle can be parked at the Tagish Marina for CAD 5.00 per day (excl. tax).

Please limit your luggage to approx. 15 kgs or 30 lbs. per person and wear warm clothing for the boat ride (approximately 45 min. to the lodge).
